Nasa men’s team naman sina John Fabuar Ceniza (55kg), Dave LLoyd Pacaldo (61kg) at Jeffrey Garcia (71kg).

“This year’s Open was an eye-opener as we just saw the emergence of a new breed of many young lifters from all over the country who are inspired to take the place of Hidilyn when she retires someday,” pahayag ni Puentevella kahapon.

“We’re thinking now of hosting the 2021 International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Juniors and Youth Championships here to continue our master plan in preparation for the Olympics in Paris 2024. We’ve already gotten a silver. We’re just one shot away from the elusive gold,” dagdag ng dating Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) commissioner.

Nang tanungin siya kung ilan ang kayang mapanalunan ng mga Pinoy lifters sa SEA Games, ang tugon ni Puentevella ay: “our target is three to four golds, lalaban ang weightlifting.”
